Silver top ash is a Victorian hardwood that is known for its highly durable properties. It is a BAL 29 compliant hardwood due to its density that aids its durability. Silver top ash has a beige complexion, which is ideal for a lot of colour schemes and can easily be painted over.
This screening profile is a great alternative to Merbau and has the advantage of being a non- resinous timber and therefore does not need to be sealed to prevent any tannins from leeching as compared with Merbau that will require the extra maintenance.
This screening profile is created with 42mm x 19mm battens and is screwed from behind ensuring no fixings are visible from the front of the screening section. We have a gap of 16mm positioned between battens to create a unique visual aesthetic that is on trend with upmarket screening styles.
